Mounted in the lobby of borough hall, this is a copy of the original 1674 deed transferring ownership of lands occupied by the Tinton Manor Iron Works from local Native Americans to the European settlers.  The original is in the Princeton University Library, and this copy was donated to the borough by former resident, and Native American descendant, Claire Garland.  Pictured (L to R) are Mayor Clay, Historic Commission Chairman Stacey Slowinski, Claire Garland, Council President Mike Nesci, and Historic Commission member Linda Zucaro. Thanks to Mayor Clay for making this happen!
